Excel

Excel is a Spreadsheet programme that can be used to store and manipulate data and carry out simple or complex calculations.

The information on a spreadsheet can easily be incorporated into, for example, a web page, a PowerPoint presentation or a Word document either as a table or a graph.   Data can be stored in a variety of formats such as Dates, text, numbers, currency etc.

The information in a spreadsheet is stored in “cells” that are arranged in rows and columns, just like a grid.  Each cell has a unique cell reference.  So for example the data in cell C3 would be placed in column C row 3 of the spreadsheet.

If you would find this programme useful for storing data or for calculating figures look at the course outlines in the links from this page.   If you wish you can choose specific skills from each of the levels (Introduction, Intermediate and Advanced) to make up your own course.  If this is the case please feel free to contact us on enquiries@msctraining.co.uk  or ring 0191 2681831
