Help your spreadsheet to talk to you - A new workshop

I normally visit customers to provide on-site training, whether this is for a group or one to one training, but occasionally I am asked to deliver a workshop where people from more than one organisation can join together. SO A new Pivot Tables workshop has been arranged on Friday 16th December 2016. If you have a large spreadsheet, full of lots of data about your customers, suppliers, invoices, contacts etc. etc. it is well worth a visit.

A set of new excel workshops are about to be arranged so watch this space everybody.  Small groups are gaurunteed so you will get personal attention at all times

Over the last few weeks I have arranged a number of Microsoft Excel and Word workshops at various locations in the North East of England.  The most popular venue was Town Hall Chambers in Wallsend.  The groups were small and so everbody was able to command a little bit of personal attention with specific problems that they have with their files.

The Business Factory in North Shields

We had an excellent session this morning at the Business Factory in North Shields learning about customer data bases and:

  • What should be kept
  • How long does it need to be kept
  • Creating a customer database
  • How to analyse customer data
  • Using the data for campaigns
  • Monitoring payments from customers
  • What kind of information is relevant and useful
  • Data Protection Act -  registering with the ICO
  • keeping information secure

  You can uninstall it!!!!

As long as you do this within 31 days:

To access the uninstall option:

Open the Start menu and select Settings.

Click the “Update & security” icon and select “Recovery.”

You should see a “Go back to Windows 7” or “Go back to Windows 8.1” option.

Click the Get started button to get rid of your Windows 10 install and restore your previous Windows install.

Google Docs Spreadsheets

You will have to create a google account to use google docs (this does not mean that you need to have a gmail – just go to the google page and choose sign in – create an account and you can add whichever email you use to your google account)
Google docs are very simple to use and can carry out many of the tasks that Microsoft Office does.  The link to them is
